The waiting is nearly over.
The sixth Bournemouth Air Festival begins tomorrow and the excitement is as palpable as it was when the event launched in 2008.
There were plenty of sceptics at the time but they were quickly proved wrong. The festival has become one of the UK’s biggest free attractions and is now recognised as one of the top ten of the world’s air shows.
This is a testament to the skill and dedication of the pilots and crew but equally to the small Bournemouth team that works year round to stage the show. They do a tremendous job for the town.
