AN INQUEST into the death of a Poole mum killed following a caravan crash will open in Dorchester today.
The 48-year-old suffered life threatening injuries when the Land Rover Discovery she was travelling in overturned on the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport on Saturday afternoon. The vehicle was towing a caravan.
She died in hospital on Tuesday morning.
The coroner’s officer for Dorset confirmed that an inquest will open and be adjourned this morning.
The woman’s 52-year-old husband, who was driving, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester with their 11-year-old son, who escaped injury.
Any witnesses to the collision, or who saw the manner of the driver of the vehicle prior to the incident, are asked to call PC Gareth Bacon of Weymouth police on 101, quoting incident number 24:277.
