Leading hospitality professional Simon Scarborough is to set up his own consultancy fim to promote customer service best practice throughout the region’s tourism industry.
Widely credited with turning around the fortunes of Bournemouth’s four-star Norfolk Royale Hotel, Simon is now embarking on his new venture which, he says, will offer practical support and advice to tourism-related businesses across the south of England.
“I feel very strongly that the direct and indirect economic benefits of the hospitality and tourism sectors are greatly under-appreciated in the UK,” he says. “My aim is simple – to help turn Bournemouth and the surrounding area into a beacon of excellence for others to emulate.”
“I sincerely believe that Bournemouth can take the lead in transforming this part of the south coast into the country’s most sought-after leisure and business travel destination.”
Simon added: “By raising the profile of individual businesses and companies, we can raise the profile of the town – and of the region as a whole – bringing economic benefits for everyone.”
Simon most recently managed the Print Room in Bournemouth.
