TRAVELLERS who moved on to Branksome Recreation Ground last week left the site yesterday after Borough of Poole secured a court order.
The nine caravans and two motorhomes left the area at around 5pm.
They moved on to the popular Poole recreation ground last Friday and were believed to be part of the same group evicted from Riggs Garden, Turbary Common, the day before.
Just before the group left Branksome Rec, a Borough of Poole spokesman told the Daily Echo: “The council was granted a court order on Wednesday and this was served on the nine caravans and two motorhomes which were required to leave by Thursday afternoon.
“If the vehicles have not left by Friday morning, bailiffs will be on site to assist with the eviction.
“There has already been an initial clear-up.”
