A DANCE show coming to Poole promises a breathtaking journey into the heart of Argentinian tango.
TangoMotion features virtuoso displays of traditional tango dance in costume and the exquisite tango songs of 1930s Buenos Aires, with the powerful nuevo tango of composer and bandoneon virtusoso Astor Piazzolla, The cast includes the leading UK tango dancers Giraldo Escobar, Maria Tsiatsiani, Leonel Di Cocco and Natalia de Assuncao.
The show also features singer Guillermo Rozenthuler who appears on Musik, the latest album by BBC Jazz Award winning outfit Orient House Ensemble.
Between them, the performers have appeared in BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing as well as the hit West End show Midnight Tango, Tango Por Dos, the Channel 4 film Dance and the Madonna film Evita.
TangoMotion is at Lighthouse on Saturday, 12 October.
