A VAN driver has denied being responsible for the death of a cyclist in an early morning crash in Southampton.
David Irving, 48, died following a collision with the vehicle on Mountbatten Way on December 12 last year.
Today the driver Steven Petterson made a further appearance at the city crown court in connection with the crash.
The 37-year-old from Waterhouse Lane, Southampon, was charged with causing the death of Mr Irving by driving without due care and attention. He denied the charge.
Following a five minute hearing, Petterson had bail extended until his trial at the court on January 20.
