DORSET Police are taking no further action after investigating “racist” comments made on Facebook about the Lampedusa boat disaster.
Officers have spoken to former company director Nicky Hutt about the posting, where she stated that “hopefully” a few of those who died in the boat disaster were Muslims.
The comments caused anger with Mrs Hutt’s hairdresser Esra Turay, herself a Muslim.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “We’ve spoken to both parties and the woman who posted the comments has been very apologetic.”
He added: “It’s been treated as a non-crime racial incident and advice has been given.”
