JUST a day after Wareham firefighters battled a blaze at an East Stoke recycling centre, they dealt with a fire on a landfill site nearby.
The site is on the Wareham to Bere Regis road and the blaze was reported at around 12.30pm today. Firefighters used a hose reel jet and water carrier from Poole to extinguish the flames and the fire was out by 3.30pm.
The fire was believed to have started accidentally.
On Friday lunchtime six crews attended the blaze at the Sita plant in Puddletown Road involving a paper baling machine. The cause was believed to be accidental.
