ROYAL Mail says it beat its targets for postal deliveries in the BH postcode area.
It said latest independent figures showed 94.1 per cent of first class mail was delivered on time – the next day after posting – between April and September.
Operations director Tony Fox, said: “The quality of our service to customers is key to our success.
“We are working hard to consistently improve our service performance. I’m pleased that we are ahead of our targets for first class and second class letters and parcels at the half-year stage.
“We are committed to maintaining these high standards of service for all of our customers – consumers and businesses in rural areas as well as towns and cities.
“Our postmen and women are delivering to one of the most challenging next-day perform-ance targets in Europe while we are undertaking one of the UK’s biggest transformation projects.”
