Very concerned about some people who use the Common and their attitude towards it's importance as a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Only today a young couple were seen allowing their two dogs to run freely in Central Bog and actually encouraging them by throwing a ball into it!
Central Bog is a RAMSAR site( Wetland of International Importance) and at this time can have wintering birds present.
By-laws state that it is an offence to disturb any wildlife but since the wardens or Police are rarely seen on site, one wonders what the point of by-laws are!
We have suggested an information board along the cycle path but that has seemingly fallen on deaf ears!
Based on information supplied by Friends of Kinson Common.
