AN “EYESORE” warehouse at Bournemouth’s Triangle has been turned into a distinctive new home for two creative businesses.
The two companies – web development agency IADigital and creative marketing agency Fireworx – took on a building with no running water, central heating or electrics and transformed it.
Daniel Smith, managing director of Fireworx, said: “Both Fireworx and IADigital were expanding, so we needed more space, fast.
“We wanted to find an office as unique as the work we do.
“We took on the challenge of turning the warehouse into something beautiful as we believed this to represent us as companies – original and innovative.”
The transformation of the building, which the companies described as an ‘eyesore’, took 10 weeks. The businesses enlisted the help of Jo Greenwood, who is the mother of IADigital managing director Adam Greenwood and has years of property development and interior design experience.
Jo said the building was a ‘dilapidated shell’ but that she wanted to bring its ‘industrial beginnings back to life’.
She said: “The design for the décor evolved from the idea of modern open plan, within the original industrial shell, so sharp and glossy in some areas and a little vintage added in to keep the warehouse character.”
The meeting room is one of the most modern touches, separated by a 9ft glass and Perspex wall with LED downlighters, and featuring what appears to be a floating boardroom table with 10 bright orange chairs and a 50-inch LED screen.
IADigital does web development work with companies such as Currys PC World and Visit Scotland, while Fireworx’s clients include Harveys and Brighthouse.
The offices were opened with a reception featuring champagne and tapas from local restaurant Koh Thai.
