HALO nightclub in Bournemouth is having a moment – or maybe that should read a year.
Opening its doors only 12 months ago in a building formerly housing a church, it has welcomed a host of celebrity faces including stars from Geordie Shore, The Only Way is Essex, Made in Chelsea, world-renowned DJs Jaguar Skills, Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, record producers Skream, Hot Since 82 and so many more have taken to the stage at Halo.
This weekend, the club celebrates its first year in Bournemouth with four days of events, including DJing royalty, John Digweed.
24Seven spoke to owner, Ty Temel, about the formula to Halo’s success.
“In our eyes, it’s more than just a nightclub. It’s a brand, almost a way of life, and being a former church, we think, it is aesthetically one of the nicest looking spaces in Bournemouth, if not the country.”
He said the VIP balconies offer a 360-degree view of the venue, and Halo has invested in a top-of-the-range custom-built sound system, state-of-the-art split-screen LED video wall, Co2 cannons, and a festival-spec lighting rig.
“All of this, we believe, gives Halo that extra edge and ‘wow’ factor. We strive to bring the public the best audio and visual experience.”
Ty added: “You can expect the usual immersive Halo experience on Saturday along with plenty of birthday surprises.
“We’ve also got the house music legend, John Digweed performing on Sunday.”
