MURDER She Wrote star Dame Angela Lansbury can be seen on the big screen at the Regent in Christchurch tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
She will join James Earl Jones in a recorded satellite production of Driving Miss Daisy.
The show was originally filmed during the show’s Australian Tour in Melbourne. The beloved Pulitzer Prizewinning play tells the affecting story of the decades long relationship between a stubborn Southern matriarch and her compassionate African American chauffeur.
The event will be broadcast from the BFI Southbank in London with a question and answer session providing an insight into Angela’s motivations for doing the play and look back at her incredible career in film and on the stage.
Driving Miss Daisy was memorably turned into a multi Oscar award winning film, starring Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman, which won the 1990 Oscars for Best Film and Best Actress.
