POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man from Bournemouth who has gone missing from his home.
Alexander Angus, 48, left his home in Queen’s Park Avenue at 9am on Tuesday February 3.
However, he did not attend work and has not been in contact with his family since.
He was reported missing at 1.20am on Sunday.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "It is understood Alexander may be in a distressed state of mind."
Alexander is described as a white man, of broad build and six feet one to six feet two inches tall. He has short grey hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured sweatshirt.
Alexander left home in a white Ford Transit van with the registration number SD14 CFG.
The van has a small picture on the back door of three cartoon egg characters accompanied by a safety slogan.
The vehicle was last seen on the A35 at Hinton Admiral at 5.39pm on Wednesday February 4.
Chief Inspector Tracey Baker, of Dorset Police, said: “Alexander was last seen on Tuesday morning and he has not been in touch with his family since.
“Alexander has never gone missing before and this is completely out of character.
“We know his vehicle was spotted on the A35 at Hinton Admiral at 5.39pm on Wednesday 4 February 2015. Officers have been searching nearby car parks but nothing has been found.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Alexander, his vehicle or know of his whereabouts to please contact Dorset Police urgently.
“If Alexander sees this appeal, I would urge him to please make contact to let us know he is safe. Your family is very worried about you.”
Anyone who sees a man matching Alexander’s description should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 8:30.
