IT beggars belief that anyone can drive at speeds of over 100mph on roads in Dorset and Hampshire.
But that’s what the Institute of Advanced Motorists revealed in their shocking report.
And it won’t surprise motorists who travel in the two counties to discover that the A31 and the A338 were favourites with the ‘ton-up’ brigade.
There are some who criticise the police and safety campaigners for focussing too much on speed. But even they must agree with Sgt Stuart Pitman who labelled such speeding motorists as “stupid and reckless”.
