BOY band sensations McFly and TV presenter Vernon Kay will be among big names accompanying Chris Moyles and his gang from BBC Radio 1's breakfast show when Bournemouth University help launch his fund-raising effort for Comic Relief on Friday.
Controversial radio presenter Moyles will launch his Red Nose Rallyoke at the University's night club, The Old Fire Station. Tickets for the event are only available via the BBC.
Organisers say the celebrity-packed karaoke gig will feature both pop sensations McFly and versatile TV presenter Vernon Kay.
BU graduate Rachel Jones will also be on hand. Rachel, who completed her BA (Hons) in Media Production in 1995, produces The Chris Moyles Show which has around 10 million listeners each day.
The Rallyoke roadshow will travel throughout the UK, taking in Swansea, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Loughborough and London leading up to Red Nose Day on Friday, March 16.
In 2005, Chris and his team raised nearly £630,000 for Comic Relief during his Red Nose Rally from John O'Groats to Land's End.
