DORSET Business has unanimously approved a strategy for growth.
Through best practice identified from other successful chambers, increased staffing and greater financial support, we are going to build on our positive contribution to the success of our member businesses.
With improved resources, contracts and sponsorship opportunities, we aim to expand significantly the provision of focused opportunities for training and business development.
Dorset chamber is in a unique position to provide support, training and resources to help our member businesses manage change.
The chamber also has a key role as the voice of Dorset business on issues such as legislation and the environment.
We will continue the campaign for sensible fair regulation that maintains a reasonable balance for business and statutory rights.
We will also be increasing our focus on strategy and policy issues for Dorset and the South West, such as the 2012 Olympics.
Our planned improvements will mean we become better able to meet the needs of our membership.
We recognise that in an increasingly competitive and demanding market there is an ever-greater need to adapt and make sure we meet the needs of businesses of all sizes and at all stages of development.
