RACING legend and multi-millionaire Eddie Jordan is said to be so delighted with his new 37-metre Sunseeker yacht that he is coming to Poole to thank the team who built it.

The 58-year-old, who made his fortune as a Formula One constructor and ran the team Eddie Jordan Racing, commissioned the three-deck super-yacht last year. The 200-tonne boat, the biggest in Sunseeker's range, is so vast that one of the world's largest cranes had to be used to lift it during construction.

Now completed, the vessel, thought to be worth £11.5m, offers luxury on a grand scale, with accommodation for 10 guests and eight crew. It boasts a giant hot tub, bar and dining area on the sky deck, and a king-size berth office area and entertainment system in the master room on the main deck.

A source at Sunseeker said the yacht also came with a garage' to house a small boat and two jet skis. Mr Jordan is rumoured to be coming to pick it up in mid-March, and could even be bringing some of his Formula One colleagues.

He is also said to want to personally thank the 40-strong team which worked on the yacht, named The Snapper, and show them around the finished article.

A spokesman for Sunseeker said: "I believe Mr Jordan will be coming down to say thanks to some of the guys who built the boat, but we don't know when that will be."
