Having already been tipped across the board for great things in 2007, Air Traffic have announced they will return to their native Bournemouth for a special homecoming show.

And there's a special treat in store for the local fans who did so much to help their early career - they will get the chance to receive a free signed CD promo of the band's debut EP which is alread a collectors item in its own right.

The gig at the Old Fire Station will be on Sunday March 25, on the eve of the release of Air Traffic's new and first chart eligible single Charlotte which is taken from their as yet untitled debut album.

Last year ended on a high note for the band who got to perform two songs live on Later with Jools Holland whilst their first two limited releases Just Abuse Me (on Fierce Panda) and their Never Even Told Me Her Name EP saw them championed by the likes of Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq & Jo Whiley, and tipped by NME, GQ and the BBC as one of the influential bands for 2007.

Currently in their element amid their biggest UK tour to date, Air Traffic have now extended their dates to continue after their appearance at this years SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

The band has spent much of the year holed up recording their highly anticipated debut album at Rockfield studios in Wales and Olympic in West London and are just putting the final touches to the the album which is due for release this summer.

Fans are already getting the chance to hear these songs for the first time as the band performs them live each night.

Fans will be eligible to receive the free signed CD if they pre-order the four formats from www.recordstore.co.uk and bring a print out of the order confirmation with them to the Old Fire Station show.
