Love Is All, Southampton Joiners
THE crowd was treated to a night of pulsating and vivacious live music.
Most notable support came from Thomas Tantrum - chaotic with some warped and colourful guitar distortion.
This was in part thanks to the lead singer's harmonious vocals and elegant deliverance which can be compared to the beautiful Nico and her days spent in The Velvet Underground.
Following on, madcap Swedish five-piece Love Is All put in a whole-hearted performance that was musically magnificent and drew mainly on latest album Nine Times That Same Song.
In what became a night for the songstress, the lyrics were added with such passion and smirk that it was more shindig than gig, especially with the addition of a zany saxophonist.
The show whizzed to the finale where the group claimed that they didn't have enough good songs to finish the show.
This was soon dismissed when they ended on the memorable Felt Tip - something of a cross between the White Stripes and The Happy Mondays.
A refreshing night and on this showing, maybe Love Is All you need.
