THIS plodding US political satire pulls few punches but picks on too many targets to land any knockout blows.
Silver City's shaky foundations straddle an uneasy fault line between comedy and thriller and ultimately the whole edifice comes crashing down.
That said, a cast including Richard Dreyfuss and Darryl Hannah do their best. Chris Cooper is effective as the would-be governor whose campaign is derailed when he inadvertently hooks a body while filming a TV ad portraying him as an environmentally-aware angler.
In fact the grammatically- challenged scion of a political dynasty bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain occupant of the Oval Office.
