A young woman has hit out angrily at a tabloid story yesterday linking her to Prince William as "a total misrepresentation."
And 19-year-old Lisa Agar of Ringwood said the heir to the throne was "a perfect gentlemen" when they met in a Bournemouth nightclub last week.
She told the Daily Echo: "We had a couple of dances and he was great fun, but he was perfectly well behaved, absolutely impeccable.
"Anyone who says any different is not telling the truth."
Lisa, who is studying to be a sound engineer, also dismissed claims made in the Sunday Mirror that the Prince had asked her to go back to his barracks at Bovington after the night out in Elements.
"That's a total fabrication," she said. "They have made it out to be something totally different to what it was. They seem to be trying to dish the dirt when there is no dirt to dish."
"He never asked me anything of the sort. I did go back with one of his Army pals called Rufus for a couple of drinks and then I went home, but that had nothing to do with William.
"I even travelled back to Bovington in a different car," she said.
"William was being friendly but didn't go near any girls. The closest I got to him was when he posed for the photograph. I just wanted to tell people what a genuinely nice guy he is."
As reported in the Daily Echo on Saturday, the Prince, 24, spent a night out last Thursday in Bournemouth with pals.
Currently the Prince is based at the Bovington Army Camp. He and his buddies arrived at the nightspot just after midnight and spent time dancing on the podium and drinking Stella Artois, declining the use of the club's VIP suite.
He left when the club closed just after 3am on Friday morning.
Lisa said she did talk to a Sunday Mirror reporter but insisted yesterday's front page story bore no resemblance to her interview.
"I think I have been stitched right up and so has Prince William.
"The Prince was just having fun on a night out with his pals and there's no law against that."
Lisa's friend Alison Hatcher, 18, a Brockenhurst College student, was also at the Elements on Thursday.
"He was a lovely guy," she said. "He was relaxed and friendly and we chatted about music and things like that.
He was happy to talk to everyone, really down to earth.
"The story in the Sunday paper has given a totally misleading impression. It's really unfair on William and on Lisa.
"Things like this will probably make him think twice before going out on the town again and that's a real shame for him. If I were him, I'd be really annoyed about all this."
