TIME is running out for those wishing to vote in next month’s election who are not registered.
The General Election takes place on May 7, alongside council elections across the county - and in many of the seats, the number of non-voters was larger than the winning candidate's majority.
You must be registered by Monday, April 20, to be able to put their X on the ballot sheet this year.
The quickest way to register is by visiting gov.uk/register-to-vote and answer the 11 questions.
Registering takes around five minutes. You will be asked for your National Insurance number but don't panic if you don't know it - you are not required to include it, it just makes it easier to verify who you are.
If you can't find it, say so on the site and your local council then has until April 28 to verify your identity in another way. See doineedmynumbertovote.co.uk for more information.
Anyone not able to register online should contact the electoral services department at the council that covers where they live.
