ANOTHER Bournemouth hotel is set to feature in the Channel Five series The Hotel Inspector.
After acting as a referee with feuding mother and daughter Tara and Pamela Howard at the Langtry Manor Hotel, no-nonsense guru Ruth Watson has picked the Safari Hotel on the resort's West Cliff to turn around.
Hoteliers Lidy and Vincent Van Nulck called in the Hotel Inspector in January after failing to get a star rating for a fourth time and being puzzled about where they were going wrong.
One of Ruth's recommendations was to sell off a lot of the safari-themed memorabilia which crowded the walls in the bar and restaurants.
Under the watchful eye of Ruth, Lidy and Vincent will be holding a garage sale of these items on Monday, April 2 between noon and 2pm.
Members of the public will have the chance to see Ruth during filming and the opportunity to appear on television.
Series producer Sarah Freethy said: "It's a great chance to see The Hotel Inspector in action, months before it comes to our screens in the autumn, and maybe pick up a bargain too."
Assistant producer Jonney Steven told the Echo: "This is the first time we have featured two hotels from the same town. Viewers will see a great contrast between the Safari Hotel and Langtry Manor."
