THE ‘Big Day’ doesn’t come much bigger than this, as the traveller community turned out in force to celebrate the dream wedding of a Romany bride.
A Cinderella coach driven by four white horses carried Kellymarie Jeff from her home in Yarrow Close to St Clement’s Church in Parkstone on Saturday, where she married fiancé Lee Cooper.

And her nine bridesmaids, including sisters Marykate, 13, and Lavinia, 27, her maid of honour, also travelled in style in two white stretch limos.
It was a dream day for the 25-year-old bride who designed her own dress and those of her bridesmaids. She planned every last detail of the event over the past three months, down to the personalised robes and slippers she and her bridesmaids got ready in.
With reams of fabric, rhinestones and glitter, there was plenty of bling to be seen, from the spectacular flowers, which Kellymarie, a trained florist, created herself, to the rhinestone studded trainers sported by the brides under their full length dresses. A keen country singer, Kellymarie even wrote and sang the song which played as she walked down the aisle.
More than 150 guests from across the UK attended, but many more were expected to join the celebrations at the Bridge House Hotel in Longham later that day.
The bride is part of Poole’s Romany community, and great-granddaughter of family matriarch Mary Bond, whose funeral early this year was attended by hundreds.
Kellymarie remained calm as the big event approached, even taking time out to talk to the Echo as the wedding party got ready.
“I’ve kept to everything that I originally wanted and everything I wanted I’ve got. This is my dream wedding.”
She added: “I think because traveller brides keep themselves decent and pure until they’ve found the person they want to marry, when you get married there is no option that it’s not going to work – you stick with each other and make things work. It’s for life. It’s the start of something completely new and I think that’s why it’s so important for us.”
Dad Trevor added: “She knows what she wants out of life and she’s very strong willed. She looks gorgeous today. I’m very proud of her.”
