Fallout Boy, BIC

FOB burst onto the stage with an unexpected opener from 2005's From Under the Cork Tree, Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued.

With the crowd singing along to every word, it was clear that Fall Out Boy may well be the biggest band on the planet right now.

Patrick Stump's vocal talent really shone in a spectacular solo performance of the ballad Golden from the new album Infinity on High.

Old favourites Sugar We're Going Down went down well, and the crowd loved new tracks like Thriller, even without the input of rap legend Jay Z.

The night had begun with Shiny Toy Guns and, having heard their album We Are Pilots, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they were equally as impressive live.

But best support was from Cobra Starship, a band from FOB bassist Pet Wentz's own label Decaydance, who impressed the crowd with their soundtrack from last year's Snakes on a Plane, and frontman Gabe Saporta's interaction with the crowd, including inviting one lucky fan onstage.

Their set included more tracks from their new album, out today.

After all this, the crowd were more than ready for the headliners, and admiration for Fall Out Boy was easy to see, as between songs the crowd were hanging onto their every word and people of all ages were clearly enjoying the night. It was a great performance from Chicago-based Pete, Patrick, Joe and Andy, so Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, Fall Out Boy!
