MOTORISTS faced lengthy delays after the second crash on the A31 within three hours.
Traffic built up on the A31 westbound at Stoney Cross after a collision at about 3pm on Saturday, which damaged the central reservation and forced the closure of one lane.
Hampshire Constabulary is warning motorists to be careful on sodden roads after hours of heavy rain.
The debris was cleared and the road was re-opened by 4pm.
The same road was partially blocked earlier in the day after a crash near Picket Post services, which happened at about 12.15pm.
Tailbacks were being reported from the crash site back to Stoney Cross and motorists were asked to be aware of slow driving conditions in the area.
Anyone with information can contact Hampshire Police on 101.
