There have been a number of incidents recently where food such as apples and various vegetables have been found within the cattle enclosure.
Two piles of sprouts and parsnips were found alongside the cycle path.
Whilst this is probably being done with the best intentions, it can cause digestion problems for the cattle.
The Rangers check the cattle's condition daily and if required will give them supplement food.
Apparently this also happened when cattle were on nearby Turbary Common and still occurs even though they have now moved on!
