THE Who wowed the crowd at the Isle of Wight Festival last night showing us - and the rest of the weekend's headliners - just exactly how to do it.
They rocked the stage with a greatest hits set but it was the string of well-known tunes that closed the evening that really got the crowd going, including songs Baba O'Riley and Pinball Wizard.
There was a huge contingent old enough to have been there when the band formed half a century ago but despite The Who not being 'my generation' they did not disappoint.
At the age of 71, Pete Townshend showed us he's still got it with his trademark windmill guitar and incredible musical skills.
Earlier in the day The Corrs performed a brilliant set with Breathless drawing the biggest cheers.
With the Isle of Wight only a stone's throw from Bournemouth I can't believe this is my first time at the festival.
We travelled by foot, taking the train to Lymington and then the Wightlink ferry service to Yarmouth. The journey could not have been easier.
If IOW festival has been on your to-do list but you've never taken the plunge, my advice would be do it.
Queen are on later performing with Adam Lambert and quite frankly I can't wait.
A bit of sun wouldn't go amiss though...
