A competition has been launched tasking members of the public to capture the spirit of Boscombe in a photograph.
The winning photographers will see their images turned into a limited edition postcard of Boscombe.
The competition, which is open to amateur photographers of all ages, runs from now until Friday, September 2, and is in support of the Boscombe Regeneration Partnership’s work to improve the area as a place to live, work and visit.
There are two categories, one for under 18s and one for over 18s.
All participants are being asked to capture the great things that Boscombe has to offer.
Here are nine of the pictures that have been entered so far...
1. Boscombe street art
2. Boscombe Precinct
3. Boscombe Pier
4. The Tardis
5. A view of the beach
6. The Royal Arcade
7. Fishing
8. Playing in the sea
9. Beach huts
To enter upload an image to www.flickr.com/groups/boscombepostcard or www.flickr.com/groups/boscombepostcardunder18.
Images need to be in a hi-resolution format, must be your own and you must have the permission of anyone in the images.
The winning postcards will be professionally printed with the winner receiving some copies, and will be made available free of charge through local venues.
