P1 Powerboat and jet ski racing returned to Bournemouth for the third year running as another action packed weekend of high speed marine motor sport and family entertainment took place.
The action was based at Bournemouth Pier, with facing heats between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers.
Despite blustery conditions on Saturday with the last race having to be cancelled, thousands still turned out on Sunday watching from the pier, sea front, cliff top and at local restaurants.
The Mayors of Bournemouth and Poole along with Paul Clarke, chair of Coastal BID, presented the trophies on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Clarke said:"What a great way to showcase Bournemouth and the surrounding towns to visitors.
"We welcomed visitors and teams this weekend from as far afield as Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales."
Mark Smith, director of Bournemouth Tourism, said: "We are delighted to welcome back the P1 Championships, with powerboats, jet skis and all round family entertainment.
"We always receive a warm welcome in bournemouth and it's a great location for us."
Highlights of the two day race event will be shown on Sky Sports TV in the UK, Motors TV across Europe and internationally on the Nautical Channel later this month.
