UPDATE: Jordan Thomas McClay has now been located

Detectives are appealing for help to locate a wanted man who is believed to have recently visited the Bournemouth area.

Jordan Thomas McClay, 26, from Weymouth, was released from prison on Tuesday, August 2, after serving part of a four-month prison sentence for harassment.

Since then Jordan has failed to comply with the requirements of his licence to live and sleep at an address in Weymouth.

He is now wanted by police.

Detective Superintendent Chris Naughton, of Dorset Police, said: “I am releasing a photo of Jordan McClay in the hope that someone will know of his whereabouts.

“We have information to suggest that McClay was in the Bournemouth area until Saturday 3 September 2016.

“While we have no information that Jordan presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees Jordan should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999.”

McClay is described as white, of medium build, five feet seven inches tall and with short dark brown hair and a tattoo on his neck and arms.

Detective Superintendent Naughton continued: “I’d like to assure members of the public that officers are making every effort to find this man as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information regarding Jordan McClay’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 999.
