A HEAVILY pregnant missing woman could be in Spain, police say.

Katie Miles, who is 30, was last seen at 6pm on Tuesday, August 30, following an appointment at Poole Hospital.

She was due to return to the hospital later that evening but has not been seen since.

Katie is due to give birth next month.

Police investigating Katie’s disappearance now believe she may have travelled abroad of her own accord with her boyfriend Robert Brown, the father of the child.

They are thought to have gone across the channel to France and then on to Spain, using a black Range Rover with the registration number V8XXM.

Officers and doctors are increasingly concerned for Katie’s health, as well as the health of her baby.

Katie is described as white, five feet five inches tall, of slim build and has light red hair with a piercing on her top upper lip.

Chief Inspector Mike Claxton, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing directly to Katie to please seek urgent medical attention as we are extremely worried about your health and the health of your baby. We would also urge you to get in touch with us so we know that you and your baby are safe and well.

“Everyone wants to ensure that you and your baby access the most appropriate healthcare and support networks.

“Katie urgently needs to attend hospital for medical treatment, so we would ask anyone in contact with Katie to encourage her to do so.

“If you are in touch with Katie or know her whereabouts please call police. I am very grateful for all the information we have received so far that has led me to believe that Katie has travelled to Spain.”

After an appeal for information appeared on the Daily Echo website, a family member commented: “Katie, we love you very much and we are thinking of you and hoping you are found safe.”

Friends added: “You are a really lovely girl Katie. Please go back to the hospital.

“I really hope and pray that you and the baby are safe and well and that soon I will read that everything is ok.

“There are people who are really worried about you.

“You are not alone and we love you.”

A spokesperson from charity Missing People said: “Katie can call our helpline on 116 000 free of charge, 24/7.

“We offer confidential support and advice to people who need it.

“Anyone who has gone missing can get in touch.”
