A POOLE marketing firm has secured a contract to rebrand a local college of alternative medicine.

The Anglo European College of Chiropractic (AECC), based in Parkwood Road, Pokesdown, has qualified for 'university' college status and Salad Creative, which operates out of Enefco House, The Quay, has been tasked with extending its global reach.

The renaming, rebranding and subsequent roll out of AECC is expected to be an 18-month process intended to cement the college’s position in the health services education sector globally.

Arabella Lewis-Smith, Salad Creative's founder and managing director, said: "We’re absolutely delighted to be working with the Anglo European Chiropractic College.

"They wanted a strategic partner who could not only deliver outstanding design for the college, but understood and had experience of working with organisations with many sub-brands and revenue streams, a wide service offering, and a complex set of stakeholders.

"We are now under way developing concepts for a world-class identity to support the new name and AECC’s position as Europe’s oldest and favourite place to study chiropractic and associated courses.

"This follows a detailed and inclusive programme of market research where we met and interviewed students and staff as well as a wide range of college alumni.

"Our thorough planning and research process has been a vital component in developing a suitable name and subsequently a creative brief that will deliver an appropriate, authentic and differentiated brand identity for the AECC."

The firm has taken over the running and maintenance of the college's four main websites.

Lisa King, the college's head of marketing, said: "Working with Salad has provided us with the professional, forward thinking support we needed in our digital communications to move forwards.

"Their ability to understand a complex business model and provide solutions for either one specific area, or an over-arching one is always done with the understanding of the brand and institution as a whole.

"Their commitment to this holistic way of working is not something I have experienced with other agencies, and is something which is already returning positive results for us."

Salad Creative, established in 2001, employs a team of 15 including five directors. Recent clients include Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, Salomon, Hall & Woodhouse and Greene King.
