CAT lovers had a paw-some time today meeting some of Bournemouth’s newest residents at Pause Cat Café.
The cafe, in Old Christchurch Road, finally opened its doors after owner Jaya Da Costa led a successful £25,000 fundraising campaign in November.
It offers pet lovers the chance to book an hour’s slot to interact with 12 rescue cats for £5 while enjoying coffee and cake.
The opening today - to coincide with World Cat Day - was a huge success with dozens of people showing up throughout the day to meet the cats.
“It’s been hard work but I’m so pleased with what we have accomplished,” said Jaya.
“To have so many people show up on our opening day was wonderful and we hope these people come back again and again to give these kitties some much needed love and attention.”
