POLICE have confirmed that a man who went missing from his Poole home over the weekend has been found.

Samuel Hicks was reported missing on Sunday. Police received a report that wet clothing and personal effects believed to belong to the 27-year-old had been found at a lake at Upton Country Park at 1.05pm, Sunday afternoon.

Officers confirmed this morning that Mr Hicks was found safe and well yesterday. Police saw him at 11.39pm.

A spokesman said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped to share our appeal."
