A MAN has been taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Highcliffe.
Officers were called to the scene just after 3.30pm this afternoon following reports of a single-vehicle collision in Lymington Road.
It is believed the incident took place near Winkworth Highcliffe Estate Agents in Lymington Road.
Hazel, from Winkworth Highcliffe Estate Agents, said: “A vehicle went up on to the kerb, then down again, went along for a bit and then back up onto the pavement.
"Thankfully the driver didn't hit anyone and no other cars were involved.
“I think police and ambulance are with the driver now, he has been taken out of the car.”
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "A man was taken to hospital. It is believed to have been a medical episode."
The road was closed at the junction with Wharncliffe Road but reopened around 4.30pm.
