Body found in search for missing fisherman Andrew Scott
A BODY has been found in the search for Dorset spear fisherman Andrew Scott.
Police say a body was found off the coast near Weymouth at 10.55am on Sunday morning.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of missing spear fisherman Andrew Scott.
Andrew, 27 and of Winterborne Whitechurch, left home between 3pm and 4pm on Monday 10 July 2017, but failed to return as expected.
His family have been informed of the discovery and the coroner has been notified.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "His death is not being treated as suspicious and our thoughts are with Andrew’s family at this difficult time."
