A WOMAN was found dead in the customer car park of a Westbourne pub as temperatures plunged on Monday morning.

The woman - who has not yet been identified - was found outside The Westbourne in Poole Road.

Paramedics were called at 8.07am. Police were then called by the ambulance service at 8.18am.

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: “An investigation is underway and the scene has been cordoned off.

“At this time the woman’s death is not believed to be suspicious.”

The coroner has been notified. Next of kin enquiries are still ongoing.

Police could be seen speaking to pub staff inside the venue during the morning.

Forensics officers also attended to investigate.
