SOME parts of North Dorset could see snow overnight even though Dorset has escaped a weather warning.
Other parts of the country have been issued with yellow weather warnings for rain, snow and ice overnight into Wednesday.
Dorset is most likely to see snow in the north of the county, with heavy snow forecast for Shaftesbury in the early hours of the morning.
There could be snow in areas of Purbeck as well, with Lulworth also expected to see some light snow.
It will follow heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon and evening, with temperatures falling overnight.
It will be around 2C on Wednesday morning but feel around -1C during the day. Wednesday and Thursday will be bright and cold, with more cloud and a few showers on Friday.
On Boxing Day, debris - believed to be from Boscombe's surf reef - was found washed up on the beach by the pier following a night of wind and rain
