A TATTOO artist from Poole has picked up a top prize at a national competition.
Mim Hennessy-Mann, who works at Just Add Ink in Blandford Road, took first prize at the Tattoo Freeze convention recently.
The 32-year-old mum was also awarded the ‘Best Avant Garde’ prize as well.
It comes after the talented artist has picked up 10 other award for her eye-catching work over the past three years as well.
Mim, who has been working as a tattoo artist for the past seven years, said: “I spent five years at art school then I did random jobs for a bit.
"I then did an old school apprenticeship and spent a couple of years building up my portfolio, relocated to Bournemouth and started working at the studio.
“It’s a very high pressured job; you are marking someone for the rest of their life.”
She added: "I get to do what I love every day and hang out with my best friends who are like family. I’ll be tattooing until someone makes me stop.”
