FAST developing a reputation for no-shows that could rival Pete Doherty's, forthcoming BIC star Amy Winehouse cancelled another gig this week.

The Rehab hitmaker was due to have played the Oya music festival in Oslo on Wednesday, but pulled out at the 11th hour having been admitted to University College Hospital.

A statement from her label confirmed: "Amy Winehouse was admitted to UCLH this morning suffering from severe exhaustion. Amy was discharged from hospital this afternoon and has been advised to take complete rest."

Winehouse has cancelled several gigs this summer - including sets at T On The Fringe and Liverpool's Summer Pops - generally citing exhaustion as her excuse. She recently clarified those cancellations by telling reporters: "I know it's last-minute and a bit irresponsible. But I'm a perfectionist and would rather reschedule a show than do it half-heartedly."

But one gig it's unlikely she'll be cancelling is the offer from The Simpsons producers asking her to appear in the next series, possibly as a character that teaches Lisa to sing the blues.

A source from the show explained: "Amy is huge in America right now. She was asked if she would consider making an appearance on the show and she agreed. Apparently she is a big fan."

Amy Winehouse is due to play the BIC on November 27.
