A MAN will face a trial after denying an assault against a Poole estate agent.
Marc Skelton, who is of no fixed abode, appeared before magistrates in Poole on Friday morning.
He is charged with assaulting Anthony Newman of Tony Newman Estate Agents on February 27. Skelton, 47, denies the charge.
The defendant also denies a second charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence.
Prosecutors allege both incidents happened at an office in Poole on the same day following a dispute between the defendant and staff from the company.
A trial will take place on July 3 at 2pm. Skelton, who wore a red bomber jacket with jeans to the court, was given conditional bail ahead of the hearing.
