RESIDENTS will be asked for their views on a £160,000 project to renovate Poole's Harbourside Park at a series of upcoming meetings.
Harbourside Park, made up from Whitecliff and Baiter recreation grounds, is in-line for a makeover, which is being funded by Borough of Poole (BOP) through developer contributions.
BOP representatives have been speaking to residents since the end of April. Three further meetings are scheduled to take place on the following dates: Thursday, May 17, 4-8pm, near Turks Lane; Tuesday, May 29, 1-6pm, near Whitecliff play area, and Saturday, June 2, 9.30-11.30am at Whitecliff Pavilion.
A number of elements are being suggested for Whitecliff and Baiter Park including repair work to the sluice channel from Poole Park into Poole Harbour, path widening at the harbour's edge, new fencing, planting, play and fitness equipment, and improved drainage at Baiter.
Council officials are also considering developing and remodelling the Whitecliff Recreation Ground Pavillion and Baiter toilets.
