DON'T miss these five free events taking place this weekend and beyond...
1. Around 90 free arts and theatre events are taking place over five days from Saturday as part of Bournemouth University’s Festival of Learning which runs from June 16-20. The events and activities are designed to engage visitors with research and learning. Television's Alice Roberts will also be giving two guest talks. For more details, see bournemouth.ac.uk/fol
2. To help celebrate International Yoga Day 2018, FitLiving UK and Silent Yoga UK are putting on free silent yoga classes on the beach between Bournemouth and Boscombe on Thursday, June 21. Ten different classes will take place throughout the day offering various options for people of all ages and abilities. 3. This year's Jazz by the Sea festival has organised a programme of free jazz at Bournemouth's Metropole Street Market on Sunday, June 24. There will also be a free lunchtime concert at St Peter's Church on June 29. See jazzbytheseafestival.co.uk.
4. Poole Museum is offering two Poole Maritime Festival tours on Saturday, June 23. Join Captain Kate for a free guided tour of the historic museum buildings and monuments and learn more about the maritime heritage collections. 5. Pavilion Dance South West launches its third outdoor summer festival of dance, Discover, Play, Dream: Dance! From June 30 to July 8, audiences can enjoy two weekends full of free dance in Bournemouth and also a family outing at Highcliffe Castle. For more details, visit pdsw.org.uk
