FREE family festival Stompin’ on the Quomps returns to Christchurch Quay this weekend.
The event, now in its 24th year, will see 10 bands perform across two stages on Saturday.
Some of the acts set to play include jazz musicians Sound of Blue Note, eclectic outfit Susie Kimber’s Hot Bean Trio, award-winning blues band Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion, neo-soul jazz group Efiada and tenor sax player Pee Wee Ellis Funk Assembly.
There will also be a performance from The Taverns Big Band whose repertoire includes Sammy Nestico, Chick Corea, Duke Ellington and Glen Miller.
There will also be a wide selection of local food and drink traders on offer throughout the day.
Souvenir programmes will be available from the Christchurch Information Centre, the Regent Centre and the Captain’s Club Hotel.
The event is being sponsored by Cookes Furniture Christchurch.
