A BEACH clean will take place at Hengistbury Head this month.
Plastic Free Seas Worldwide, which has organised the event, hopes to collect 100kg of plastic during the clean-up on Saturday, September 29.
Meeting at the Hungry Hiker car park at 9am, volunteers will make their way along Hengistbury Head, picking up the litter they come across.
It will be the first beach clean organised by Plastic Free Seas Worldwide in the UK.
Craig Webb set up the non-profit organisation to raise awareness about the amount of plastic being dumped into our seas every year.
Originally from Bournemouth, he will be travelling from the south of Spain with his team for the event at Hengistbury Head.
Anyone is welcome to join in. Eco bags and gloves will be provided.
