BOURNEMOUTH University is holding a host of events to support World Mental Health Day and continuing throughout the week.
The effect of child sexual abuse on mental health will be discussed by Acts Fast, a charity chaired by Dr Andy Mayers from 2pm-3pm. Mental health resilience and young people will be the subject of a talk after this and from 5.30pm-7pm #LifeUnfiltered, an event looking at young people's mental health, will be reviewed.
On Thursday there will be events featuring Hahnemann House, breastfeeding and maternal mental health and the work of DorPIP, a charity providing intervention for parent-infant relationships.
Friday sees a talk on disability and mental health and on Tuesday October 16 the former Welsh rugby international Nigel Owens, who recently came out as gay, as well as struggling with an eating disorder will be in conversation.
