STORM Deirdre has brought rain and wind to Dorset today.
Festive events have been disrupted and the weather has made journey times on the roads longer.
A large tree was also blown down in Riverside Avenue, near Tesco Extra in Bournemouth this morning.
The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain across south west England until 6pm.
It warned of spray and flooding on roads, problems for high-sided vehicles on some routes and possible loss of power.
Conditions are set to improve into the evening.
