WE have scoured the best bars and clubs in the town to find some places to dance your way into 2019. Tickets from just £5.
1 Canvas, Poole Hill
Did someone say bottomless Prosecco? Yes, Canvas - Bournemouth’s only loft bar - is offering endless bubbly between 8pm and 9pm to ensure the lucky 400 glamorous guests are in the party mood. Dubbed The Greatest Show, expect circus performers and a specially conceived Canvas House Band, followed by party tunes spun by one of Bournemouth’s best DJs, Martyn ‘The Ringmaster’ Hat.
2 Halo, Exeter Road
Christmas may be over but, please, take me to church! Expect the finest party anthems, house and RnB and Hip Hop until late. Halo will be selling a limited number of wristbands to the post-midnight party and, of course, you can make the evening extra special by booking a VIP booth. Call 01202 552562 to find out your options. Please note you do not need an after party ticket if you have a main NYE ticket.
3 Truth, Exeter Road
Tickets from just £5 are available on Fatsoma for Truth’s Mash It Up New Year’s Eve special. There will be seven hours of music - pop, urban, Caribbean and Afro Beats. Something for everyone. The Lounge part of the club upstairs will also be opened for the first time on a Mash It Up night, with Latino beats. Show off your salsa moves and you show in 2019.
4 Bar So, Exeter Road
The theme is 1920s so break out your fringed flapper dresses and dapper hats and party like it’s the Prohibition. Luckily, alcohol is legal nowadays.
Tickets start from just £10 and there will be prizes for the best dressed boy and girl on the night.
5 O2 One Nation
If drum and bass is your thing, there is only one option - the O2 Academy on Boscombe high street. Tickets are an eye-watering £28.85 (more for VIP) but it’s worth it for a night you will remember for all of 2019. Available at Skiddle.com which also has a handy guide to Bournemouth’s other December 31 events at skiddle.com/cities/Bournemouth/nye-events.html.
